Hoback Ridge North
There are 7 beautiful metro parks located within 10 miles of the laketran park and ride. My personal favorite is Hogback Ridge North located off 307 in Madison. Although it is not listed on the metroparks website it is very easy to find. It has miles of mountain biking trails through the woods (which are great for hiking too!) which feature scenic overlooks of the Grand River Canyon, SUPER! Great for bird watching and you can almost count on being the only one there on a weekday.


Directions from Park and Ride:
Head South on OH 528/ River St.
Take a Left/East on OH 307/ Warner RD (Marathon on corner)
Park located 1.2 miles on the left (south side of road across from vineyards)

The sign is small so keep an eye out. if you get to county line road you’ve gone too far!

To access the mountain bike trails veer to the right off main trail (can’t miss it!)



Strong Cabin

The Strong Cabin is located in the Hogback Ridge Park in Madison, Ohio. It is in a private, rustic area with a beautiful panoramic view of the Grand River. The Cabin has 2 bedrooms, and a fireplace.
